Valentine’s Day is mostly over here in the islands. Even still, in the spirit of the day I pass on to you the best from the internet today (at least in my humble opinion).
Donald Miller posted a quality ditty about the day and how to enjoy it “even if you’re single.” It’s a bit of a refurbishment of some of his thinking in Searching for God Knows What dealing with Adam and Eve and then the Fall. Money quote: “On Valentine’s Day, when the hard feelings come, just know they came to Adam. And they only ended up blessing him in the end.” You can read the rest of the article here.
TV critic Andy Greenwald took the day to write about the only place romantic love shows up much these days: the sitcoms. He spends quality time talking about The New Girl and The Mindy Project and puts them in the context of other great TV romances. Check it out here.
And then there are a couple of comic strips to end the day: the latest from Foxtrot (Sunday only) and Frazz.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
