Good old Charlie Brown is finding himself in an interesting predicament in this week’s classic Peanuts strip. Here’s how it starts:
Poor Chuck. I think a lot of us have been in those (flat brown) shoes before. He loves baseball, feels at home on the pitcher’s mound. But it’s not him they want . . . it’s his glove.
Leave it to Sally to ask some good probing questions. There’s definitely an air of recovery and kindness and Chuck’s responses to his sister’s questions. “Just trying to be nice” is a great thing. Odd that Sally, the younger sibling, is so jaded. Tomorrow’s response from Lucy is even better.
