This morning I had my first weekday up of coffee since students returned to the classroom.  Granted, it’s because I’m trying for a more hot tea-centric morning, but still.  It was also half a cup.  Which brings to mind this Sunday’s Frazz comic, which is a nice blend of coffee and back-to-school/summer vacation humor.

The last 24 hours were spent grading tests and papers that I should have graded over the super-long Hurricane Lane weekend.  But I just couldn’t do it.  It feels great, though, having the first round of things graded for the quarter, which will be over before you know it.  Plus this coming weekend is of the three-day variety, which makes the reward for the work that much sweeter.
