Jef Mallett addressed the conundrum of contemporary comic strips, particularly in Covidtide, in this weekday Frazz cartoon.  Pretty smart.

I’ve decided to label this year “the Year of the Moving Targets” because everything seems to be changing all the time . . . even as things seem so steady almost to the point of bored predictability.  Not a complaint at all, mind you.  Just the realization that this thing we’re in together is no where near being over yet.
