Today’s classic Peanuts strip is good in its own right (and by good, I mean both quirky and a little sad), but it also has a feature I’ve not seen before in a Peanuts strip . . .

I’d never known Lucy’s rate to be 7 cents and not 5.  Turns out, it’s a seasonal thing.  What’s also funny and sad is that the rate is the same even when it’s a snowman stand-in.  Poor Charlie Brown.
