A Doctor Meets the Doctor
Tonight saw the conclusion of the current series of Doctor Who. Not sure how I feel about it, really. Perhaps the whole series 10 will age well. Here’s the final scene, which sets up the 2017 Christmas special quite nicely … Continue reading
Watching the Doctor Fall
It’s almost a wrap for this season of Doctor Who on BBC America. Last week’s episode had its moments, but I’m not sure how it’s all going to come together to create a greater whole. And one big question: will … Continue reading
Time and the Doctor
Tonight brought the season (and perhaps series) finale to Fargo on FX. This season was built well, hit lots of solid notes over the course of 10 episodes. The law enforcement end of the story didn’t click as well as … Continue reading

Discovering Star Trek
CBS’s recent attempt at bringing Star Trek back to the small screen has been frustrating. Lots of starts and stops, a good bit of odd, slightly negative press. The fact that the show will move to the network’s app is … Continue reading

Fury of an Android Scorned
The final third of this season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has been fascinatingly tense, even as most of it has happened in virtual reality. Now, most of the agents are out of the Framework crafted by the android Aida, … Continue reading
